National Ayush Mission
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) was launched in 2014 with following Objectives:
·To provide AYUSH health care services throughout the country by strengthening and improving AYUSH health care services.
·To establish a holistic wellness model through AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres focusing on preventive and promotive health care based on AYUSH principles and practices, to reduce the disease burden and out of pocket expenditure.
·To provide informed choice to the needy public through co-location of AYUSH facilities at PHCs, Cand DHs resulting in medical pluralism.   
·To emphasize the role of AYUSH in Public Health as per NHP 2017.
·To enhance and strengthen the infrastructure of AYUSH educational institutions.
The Government of India has adopted a strategy of Co-location of Ayush facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs), thus enabling the choice to the patients for different systems of medicines under a single window. The engagement of Ayush doctors/ paramedics and their training is being supported by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare under National Health Mission (NHM), while the support for Ayush infrastructure, equipment/ furniture and medicines is being provided by the Ministry of Ayush under National Ayush Mission (NAM), as shared responsibilities.

This information was given by Union Minister of State (I/C) for Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
