Luigi Mangione pleads not guilty to murdering healthcare CEO
Luigi Mangione, 26, the person accused of shooting the CEO of UnitedHealthcare was escorted into Judge Gregory Carro's courtroom in the New York state criminal courthouse in lower Manhattan. Around half a dozen officers followed him during that. He pleaded not guilty to the charges that branded him as a terrorist. He was handcuffed and was wearing a burgundy sweater.
He leaned into a microphone and said "not guilty" to the state murder and terror charges. “I am very concerned about my client's right to a fair trial,” said Karen Friedman Agnifilo.

The federal charges could carry the possibility of the death penalty, while the maximum sentence for the state charges is life in prison without parole.
