Linda Lavin, the broadcast superstar died at 87

The very famous actress Linda Lavin died unexpectedly on Sunday due to recently discovered lung cancer. She dies at the age of 87. She worked twice with Neil Simon earning the first of her six career Tony nominations for playing the sexpot Elaine in 1970’s Last of the Red Hot Lovers and then winning in 1987 for her turn as the strong-willed Kate in Broadway Bound. In 1969, she sparkled as Patsy in the comedy Little Murders. She won an Outer Critics Circle Award.
