This week on WWE Raw, a new match has been confirmed for the show's upcoming premiere on Netflix next week. Drew McIntyre will face Jey Uso, following weeks of escalating tension between the two, which began when McIntyre returned from hiatus before Saturday Night's Main Event earlier this month.
Upon his return to Raw, McIntyre attacked Uso, sidelining him for several weeks. McIntyre then competed against Sami Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event, with Zayn seeking to avenge Uso. When Uso made his comeback, he immediately targeted McIntyre.
During this week's Raw, McIntyre attempted another sneak attack on Uso, landing some hits before Uso fought back. Ultimately, McIntyre delivered a Claymore kick to Uso. Later in the episode, Adam Pearce announced that their match was officially set.
WWE Raw will premiere on Netflix on January 6 from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. This event marks the beginning of a $5 billion partnership between WWE and Netflix. Other matches announced for this premiere include Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match, Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk, and Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women's World Championship.
