Trump Denounces 'Despicable Charade' by Democrats Following Unconditional Discharge in Hush Money Case
Following his "unconditional discharge" in the hush money case, President-elect Donald Trump condemned the proceedings as a “despicable charade” and accused Democrats of conducting a “witch hunt” against him. Trump received this discharge from Justice Juan Merchan after being convicted on 34 counts of business fraud related to payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated, “Today’s event was a despicable charade, and now that it is over, we will appeal this Hoax, which has no merit, and restore the trust of Americans in our once great System of Justice.” He characterized the actions of the Democrats as a “pathetic, unAmerican Witch Hunt,” asserting that his unconditional discharge serves as proof that there was never a legitimate case against him.

Trump further claimed that the American electorate is the “real jury,” having re-elected Republicans with a strong mandate to lead the White House again. He emphasized that the outcome of his case demonstrates a lack of evidence or legal basis for the charges, stating, “There is no case, there was never a case, and this whole Scam fully deserves to be DISMISSED.”
