Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar commended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for effectively dismantling the opposition's false narratives during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The opposition had alleged that the BJP aimed to secure 400 seats to amend the Constitution and eliminate reservations, a claim that adversely affected the BJP's campaign.
Fadnavis remarked on Pawar's recent acknowledgment of the RSS, suggesting that it reflected his understanding of the organization's role as a nationalist force rather than just a political entity. He noted that individuals inspired by the RSS played a vital role in counteracting the misleading narratives created by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance.
Pawar, recognized for his political acumen, observed how the RSS mobilized its dedicated cadres to challenge these narratives effectively. Fadnavis emphasized the importance of recognizing strengths in political competition, stating, "In any competition, it is wise to recognize others’ strengths."
