Radhika Gupta Reflects on the 90-Hour Workweek Debate: "Hard Work is Important, But Balance Matters"

 

Edelweiss Mutual Fund CEO Radhika Gupta recently weighed in on the 90-hour workweek discussion sparked by L&T Chairman SN Subrahmanyan, sharing her own experience of working nearly 100 hours without feeling truly productive.

 

In a post on X titled “Choices, Hard Work, and Happiness,” Gupta revealed the lessons she learned throughout her career, stressing the importance of hard work as a means to success. She acknowledged that while hard work is vital, it doesn't always lead to the results one hopes for when done excessively.

 

“Hard work is a choice, and so is ambition. But both come with consequences,” Gupta wrote, emphasizing that not everyone needs to aim for top positions like CEO or founder. She highlighted that some people may prioritize a less demanding career path that allows them to maintain a work-life balance, without judgment.
