Starbucks Unveils New Policy: Access Restricted to Customers Only

Starbucks is rolling out a new policy that will restrict access to its washrooms, cafes, and patios to only those who make a purchase. The change, reported by Bloomberg, aims to create a more welcoming environment for customers while addressing concerns over disruptive behavior.

The updated code of conduct, which takes effect on January 27, will apply to Starbucks locations across North America. It includes provisions to curb issues such as discrimination, smoking, drug use, and panhandling. Employees will be trained to enforce these rules, and customers who violate them will be asked to leave.

This move marks a significant shift in how the coffee giant handles its in-store environment, with the company hoping to improve the experience for paying customers. The new guidelines will be displayed in-store to ensure clear communication.
