Arvind Kejriwal Files Nomination for New Delhi Seat
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has officially filed his nomination for the New Delhi assembly constituency in the upcoming elections scheduled for February 5, 2025. This marks his continued bid for the seat, which he has won three times previously—in 2013, 2015, and 2020.

Kejriwal will face competition from Bharatiya Janata Party's Parvesh Verma and Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Following the submission of his nomination papers, Kejriwal expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the people of Delhi over the past decade. He stated, "I have full faith that the people of Delhi will choose the politics of work this time too."

Before filing his nomination, Kejriwal visited Hanuman and Valmiki temples to offer prayers, accompanied by his wife Sunita. He then led a 'padyatra' from the AAP office to the district magistrate's office to submit his papers, supported by numerous party workers.

The New Delhi constituency is considered one of the most high-profile seats in the assembly. Voting will take place on February 5, with results expected on February 8.
