Patina Hotels & Resorts' First Urban Hotel To Debut In Japan
As Japan prepares to welcome the world at World Expo Kansai 2025, Patina Osaka, the first urban hotel under Patina Hotels & Resorts, invites the curious and conscious to be among the first to experience its opening with Patina Imprints – an exclusive offer that includes a welcome gift and an Experience Privilege valued up to JPY 20,000.
Located between the iconic Osaka Castle Park and the historic Naniwanomiya Park, Patina Osaka is a 21-storey hotel that blends seamlessly with the region's rich history and culture while offering transformative luxury hospitality.
Within the hotel’s contemporary exterior lies a space where time moves at your own pace. Designed through the visionary collaboration of Jun Mitsui & Associates Architects and Strickland’s interior designers, Patina Osaka transcends architecture to become a living tribute to its storied location.
"Patina" symbolizes the graceful beauty that emerges over time, reflecting the timeless elegance that comes with age. By connecting with the land and its community, Patina Osaka strives to offer an experience that opens new perspectives and creates lasting memories.
Guestrooms
Patina Osaka offers 221 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, inspired by the rich history and cultural heritage of the region. The interiors feature natural wood tones that resonate with breathtaking views from expansive windows. Each room offers a serene connection to its surroundings, with views of either Osaka Castle Park or Naniwanomiya Park, allowing guests to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring or the vibrant hues of autumn foliage.
At 50 square metres, the Deluxe Rooms are among the most spacious in Osaka, blending generous proportions with refined functionality. A tatami seating area doubles as a sofa, adding traditional Japanese sophistication to the tranquil atmosphere. All rooms also feature yoga mats, emphasizing the hotel’s commitment to wellness as an integral part of the guest experience. Additionally, 48 corner rooms come with expansive balconies, a rarity in the city, offering fresh air and stunning park views.

The Patina Suite, the largest offering at 233 square metres, combines sophistication with elegance. It features a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a private balcony with sweeping views of Osaka Castle, and a steam sauna. The living area is equipped with a turntable and high-quality audio speakers, creating an immersive environment that will delight even the most discerning audiophiles.
