"Concern for Mohammed Shami: Training Session Ends Abruptly"

Mohammed Shami’s Fiery Comeback: A Training Session Full of Grit

As Team India prepared for their white-ball opener against England, all eyes were on veteran pacer Mohammed Shami, who returned to the squad after a 14-month injury hiatus. Shami’s determination was evident as he bowled with precision and intensity during an extended practice session, signaling his readiness for the challenges ahead.

Sporting a heavily strapped left knee, Shami started cautiously with short strides and light drills under the guidance of bowling coach Morne Morkel. As the session progressed, the seasoned pacer unleashed his trademark fiery deliveries, troubling young batters like Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma in the nets.

Shami’s rhythm and accuracy improved with every spell, with his deliveries extracting bounce and movement that left many batters struggling. Youngster Dhruv Jurel, however, stood out by confidently taking on Shami, delivering a spirited performance against the experienced bowler.

In a near 45-minute intense session, Shami focused on nailing specific lengths, even impressively hitting target stumps during drills. Though he briefly limped back to the changing room, Shami returned to the field shortly after, engaging with teammates and carefully managing his workload.

This remarkable effort comes amidst discussions about Shami’s exclusion from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad against Australia, sparking debates about his role in India’s Test plans. With this performance, Shami seems determined to prove he’s ready to make an impact for Team India once again.
