Yogi Adityanath Challenges Kejriwal Over Yamuna Pollution, Criticizes AAP's Governance Ahead of Delhi Elections
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intensified his criticism of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, challenging him to take a dip in the polluted Yamuna River. During a rally in Delhi, Yogi questioned, "Can Kejriwal and his ministers bathe in the Yamuna? I don’t think they would dare, and I don’t think the people of Delhi will forgive him for this negligence." He accused the AAP government of neglecting the capital's infrastructure, stating that roads are filled with potholes and that garbage is prevalent throughout the city.

Yogi highlighted the deteriorating conditions in Delhi, asserting, "This is the national capital. Apart from the NDMC area, look at the condition of roads, water supply, and electricity in Delhi." He lamented that a decade ago, people visited Delhi for its better infrastructure, but now it has become a "garbage dump." He further claimed that sewage overflows and a looming drinking water crisis exemplify the AAP government's failure to address basic civic issues.

In addition to his critique of infrastructure, Yogi accused AAP of facilitating illegal immigration by allowing Bangladeshis and Rohingyas to settle in Delhi. He argued that this mismanagement jeopardizes national security and undermines public welfare. As the Delhi Assembly elections approach on February 5, Yogi's remarks aim to galvanize support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by contrasting their governance with that of AAP.
