In a significant initiative promoting inclusivity and empowerment, Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd., in collaboration with the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Government of Odisha), celebrated the induction of eight students with hearing and speech impairments into their workforce at IRA by Orchid Hotels Bhubaneswar, Lotus Resort Konark, and Mahodadhi Palace Puri.

The event was hosted at the Development Commissioner’s Office and witnessed the participation of notable dignitaries. Anu Garg, IAS, Development Commissioner of Odisha and Additional Chief Secretary of the Departments of Water Resources and Planning & Convergence, Government of Odisha, facilitated the students, recognizing their accomplishments and encouraging them as they embark on their professional journeys.
Other eminent attendees included Balwant Singh, Commissioner-cum-Secretary Tourism, Bharat Bhusan Biswal, Regional General Manager of Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd., Sarda Ghosh, Principal of IHM Bhubaneswar.
During the event, Anu Garg lauded the initiative, emphasizing its potential to inspire other industries. “This collaboration is a step toward building a more inclusive and equitable society.
