Ex-India Star Accuses MS Dhoni of Dropping Him Despite Others' Poor Form
Manoj Tiwary Accuses MS Dhoni of Dropping Him Despite Century

Former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary has made startling allegations about his time with the national team, accusing MS Dhoni of unfairly dropping him despite his strong performance. Tiwary, who scored a match-winning century against the West Indies in 2011, revealed he was benched for 14 consecutive matches after that, even though other players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suresh Raina were struggling for runs.

Speaking to Lallantop, Tiwary reflected on the challenges of maintaining a spot in the team, stating that decisions often rested solely with the captain, with little input from others. He criticized the lack of transparency, especially after his century, and explained how difficult it was to question decisions in that environment.

"After scoring a century, I was praised, but then I was dropped without any explanation. At that time, I didn’t dare question the captain, as I feared it could jeopardize my career," he said. Tiwary also mentioned his struggles with a lack of practice during his absence and shared his personal difficulties, including the pressure of family responsibilities, which kept him from retiring sooner.
