Alexander Zverev Responds to Domestic Abuse Shouts During Australian Open Final

Alexander Zverev faced a disruption during his speech at the 2025 Australian Open final, after a spectator shouted the names of two women who had previously accused him of domestic abuse. Following his defeat to Jannik Sinner, Zverev was interrupted by a shout referencing his ex-girlfriends, Olya Sharypova and Brenda Patea. Both women had previously made allegations against the German tennis star.

Sharypova claimed abuse, though she did not involve the police, while Patea settled her case out of court. Despite the boos from some in the crowd, Zverev's speech continued with applause from others. Zverev, who has denied all accusations, later responded in a press conference, stating that there have been no new allegations in the past nine months.
