BCCI Enforces No-Family Policy for Champions Trophy 2025
Indian players will not be allowed to take their families to Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, as the BCCI implements a strict travel policy. This decision comes after India's 1-3 loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and is part of the board’s revised guidelines.
According to the new rules, families can only stay with players for up to two weeks on tours lasting 45 days or more. Since the Champions Trophy runs for just 19 days from February 19 to March 9, players will have to travel alone. A senior BCCI official confirmed that any exceptions would require players to bear their own expenses.
India’s Schedule for Champions Trophy 2025
February 20 – India vs. Bangladesh
February 23 – India vs. Pakistan
March 2 – India vs. New Zealand
While families will not be permitted for this tournament, they will be allowed during India's five-Test tour of England in June-July-August, with specific dates to be finalized later. The decision aims to keep players fully focused during crucial matches.
