Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 Concludes in Prayagraj with Record-Breaking Attendance

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, concluded on February 26, coinciding with the festival of Maha Shivratri. Over the 45-day event, more than 662 million devotees participated, making it the largest religious gathering in history. The final day saw approximately 15.3 million pilgrims taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, spiritual leaders, and the administration for the successful organization of the event. The festival, which began on January 13, featured multiple 'Shahi Snan' (royal baths) and attracted participants from across the globe. Despite the massive influx, the event was managed efficiently, with extensive security measures and facilities in place to accommodate the unprecedented number of pilgrims. The next Kumbh Mela is scheduled to be held in Nashik, Maharashtra, in 2027.
