DGCA will probe how three flights to Kolkata with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on board reportedly had low fuel, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha informed the Parliament on Friday.

The clarification has come after the opposition parties have been demanding probe and alleged conspiracy to kill Mamata.

An indigo flight which was carrying Mamata Banerjee from Patna to Kolkata had to hover for half an hour in the city before landing at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. The plane was forced to hover despite reportedly having low on fuel.

After this Mamata has attacked centre for deploying army officials at various toll plazas in the state including state secretariat in Nabanna. She spent a night at the secretariat protesting against the presence of army at toll plazas.

After information of presence of army in the state, Mamata cross checked with the police. This is a serious issue and the state government has no information about that. Such things happen only during emergency like situations. She doubts some political vendetta in this.

Supporting West Bengal Chief Minister, BSP supremo Mayawati has said that army should not be used for political purposes. 

While refusing Mamata's claims, the army has called it a routine exercise.
