Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD is reportedly planning to establish a production facility near Hyderabad, Telangana, marking its first manufacturing unit in India. The proposed investment is approximately ₹85,000 crore ($10 billion), with the facility expected to span over 500 acres and achieve an annual production capacity of 600,000 vehicles by 2032. Additionally, plans include a battery production unit with a capacity of 20 GWh.
