S.J. Nalini, principal, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Chennai), highlighted the latest trends in antenatal screening and the importance of an integrated care model for maternal well-being. She stressed the need for early detection and intervention to improve pregnancy outcomes.
C. Rajeswari, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, shared insights on emergency obstetric techniques.
Asha P. Shetty, principal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar Nursing College, addressed the social, psychological, and medical challenges related to infertility care. She also discussed advancements in neonatal resuscitation protocols, family-centred care in NICUs, and the role of AI and telemedicine in newborn care.
S. Swarna, vice-principal in-charge, Tirupati SVIMS Nursing College, spoke on the importance of early post-partum monitoring. She provided strategies to manage complications such as postpartum haemorrhage, infections, and mental health challenges faced by new mothers.
