Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh to visit Mumbai to seek investments in the hospitality sector

 Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh will visit Mumbai on April 9 and 10, 2025, to attract investments in the hospitality sector. He will participate in the 20th South Asia Hotel Investment Conference and Workshop, scheduled to take place at the Powai Lake in Mumbai.

The objective of his visit is to highlight investment opportunities in the hospitality sector in Andhra Pradesh and invite investors to explore the State’s potential.

 

New tourism policy

The conference will provide a platform for the State government to showcase its new tourism policy and the benefits of investing in the tourism sector, which has been accorded industry status. The government aims to create 50,000 rooms in the next four years and has already secured investments worth over ₹1,200 crore through eight MoUs.

The Minister will be accompanied by Tourism Secretary Ajay Jain and Tourism Managing Director Amrapali Kata and the team will engage with prominent hotel groups and investors to attract investments and promote the State’s tourism potential
