Election commission is likely to announce final dates for polls in the Uttar Pradesh soon. The citizens of UP are ready to elect their new leader. The time is right when political parties can battle it out and win the state as after demonetisation all major patties like BJP, Congress, BSP and SP have fair chances in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier, in his public rally in Kanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on note ban and diligently convinced people by putting rationale for his action.
"The country has got divided into two parts - a handful of political leaders who wants to protect corruption and black money and the people of the country who have patiently faced hardships to eradicate corruption and black money," PM said adding, "Mai hairan hun ek taraf hum corruption free karne ke liye ladai lad raha hain, hamara agenda bhrastachar aur kala dhan bandh karne ka hai, unka (Opposition) agenda hai sansad band ho (I'm upset that on one side, we are trying to stop corruption and black money, but the Opposition only wants to stop Parliament," Modi said while addressing a rally in Kanpur.
Blaming Congress for not letting Parliament run during winter session, Modi said that the party leaders are not even adhering to President's requests. Referring AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam, he said that Congress has scared the people, now it's time when we should seek account of deeds while they were in government.
He also mentioned that he has been witnessing onset of "parivartan ki andhi" (a storm of change) and Uttar Pradesh needs to get freed from Samajwadi Party-led goondaraj.
While, earlier, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had landed in Jaunpur where he alleged PM's note ban is going to benefit top 50 rich bussissmen and industrialists.
