Delhi's Lt General Najeeb Jung has resigned from the post after three years of service in Delhi. During his stint he was always on the headlines for one reason or the other. He has seen emergency in Delhi, after chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had rosined from his post.
Jung has also been in the turf war with Kejriwal on various issues in the capital but he Jung has always fought with poise. Despite various allegations by the AAP and others, he has always been very calm.
Without citing reasons, Jung's office said he has submitted his resignation to the Centre. 65-year-old Jung, a former IAS officer, had assumed charge of Lt Governor of Delhi on July 9, 2013.
Jung's sudden resignation from the post is definitely raising eyebrows as it was not warranted neither he has mentioned anything substantial reason for the same.
Meanwhile, an undated letter from Jung has been surfaced in which he has informed the Union Home Secretary about his plan to visit Goa on a privet trip for 7 days starting from December 25th.
"I will be undertaking a private visit to Goa from December 25, 2016 to January 1, 2017. I will leave Delhi in the afternoon of Sunday, 25 December 2016, and will be back on evening of Sunday, 01 January 2017," Jung has said in the undated letter.
Now, the question arises if he had planned to go to Goa on a private trip then why has he resigned three days before his visit. There are more questions on this development. Watch out for this space for more development on the matter.
