Looks like that the Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has realised that his party is not going to prove majority in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
As Mulayam Singh Yadav has declared candidates for 325 of the 403 Assembly seats and clearly ruled out projecting son Akhilesh Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate. This has fumed Chief Minister Akhilesh and promted him to onvey his displeasure over the choice of candicates from which names of his close confidants were missing, a source said.
Sources further said the Akhilesh, before meeting Mulayam, met legislators and office bearers who were missing in the list released by the Mulayam.
The list, which includes 176 sitting MLAs, has left out several pro-Akhilesh ministers and does not feature names of over 50 sitting MLAs.
"The list does not include names of certain candidates who are sure to win. I will take it up with the SP chief and tell him that some of them have done really good work and they should be given tickets," Akhilesh said.
