A shocking incident unfolded in Delhi’s Paharganj on September 4 when a 15-year-old boy arrived at the local police station with a knife still stuck in his chest. The teenager had allegedly been attacked by three other minors outside his school.
According to officials, the injured boy was immediately taken to Kalawati Saran Hospital and later shifted to RML Hospital, where doctors managed to remove the knife successfully, PTI reported.
Police confirmed that all three juveniles involved in the assault have been taken into custody.
The initial probe revealed that around two weeks earlier, one of the accused had been beaten up by a group of boys, and he suspected the victim had played a role in instigating the attack. Seeking revenge, the accused teamed up with two friends, confronted the victim near his school gate, and carried out the stabbing.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Nidhin Valsan stated that one of the boys stabbed the victim while the others held him back. He further added that one of the attackers also threatened the teenager with a broken beer bottle during the assault.
