Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of OYO, has officially rebranded itself as PRISM, a corporate identity that represents its broadened global portfolio and long-term vision.
The shift to PRISM reflects the creation of a future-focused corporate framework that aligns the company’s diverse portfolio with its strategic ambitions. According to Ritesh Agarwal, founder and group CEO of PRISM, the brand is backed by a powerful technology platform, stronger investment in data science and artificial intelligence, and a continued commitment to enabling partners to achieve profitable growth while delivering memorable experiences to customers around the world.
Launched in 2012 by Ritesh Agarwal, OYO began as a budget travel-technology startup that standardised and organised small hotels, making affordable and reliable stays accessible on a wide scale. Over the years, the company has grown far beyond its origins in India, entering global markets with offerings across premium hotels, vacation rentals, long-stay accommodations, and more. It has built a comprehensive travel, hospitality, and living ecosystem, now serving over 100 million customers across more than 35 countries.
The group’s portfolio includes hotel brands such as OYO, Motel 6, Townhouse, Sunday, and Palette. In the vacation rental segment, it operates brands like Belvilla, DanCenter, CheckMyGuest, and Studio Prestige. Its long-stay category features Studio 6, which became part of the portfolio following the acquisition of G6 Hospitality in the United States. The company’s reach continues to expand as it strengthens its diversified hospitality network.
