Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has officially signed with Bundesliga club Wolfsburg on a two-year deal, the team confirmed on Wednesday. The 33-year-old joins as a free agent after his contract with Manchester United ended this summer.
“This is my first club in the Bundesliga and I am very excited about this new chapter,” Eriksen said in Wolfsburg’s official statement. “I believe we can accomplish great things together. My discussions with the club’s management were very positive.”
Eriksen has accumulated 310 appearances in the Premier League, having played for Tottenham from 2013 to 2020. His career also includes stints at Ajax, Brentford, and Inter Milan.
“Christian Eriksen brings experience and knowledge of football at the highest level,” said Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
