Regional Tourism Investors Summit Underway in Tirupati
The Regional Tourism Investors Summit is taking place in Tirupati under the chairmanship of Minister Kandula Durgesh. During the event, the minister is expected to present the progress made in the tourism sector, showcase potential areas for investment, and outline the range of incentives introduced by the Andhra Pradesh government to encourage private participation.
The gathering is being organised by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) and is hosted at the Taj Hotel in Tirupati. Its objective is to strengthen the state’s tourism sector while drawing significant private investment. Stakeholder discussions are planned with investors, homestay operators, and other industry participants.
Key areas of focus include proposals for fresh investments, positioning Tirupati as an emerging MICE hub for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions, and exploring new avenues such as caravan tourism, houseboats, homestays, adventure activities, and integrated tour packages with experience centres.
A highlight of the summit will be the announcement of a new tourism policy, designed to provide clear direction for future growth and ensure sustainable development across the sector.
