Mumbai: Businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, is under investigation in connection with an alleged ₹60 crore fraud case. In the latest round of questioning, he reportedly stated that a portion of the disputed funds had been paid to actors Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia as professional fees.
Five-hour interrogation
According to reports, the Enforcement of Economic Offences Wing (EOW) questioned Kundra for nearly five hours. However, he chose not to respond to several critical queries, prompting investigators to plan additional interrogation sessions to seek clarity.
Funds traced to multiple accounts
Investigators have reportedly uncovered money trails linking the company’s funds directly to accounts belonging to four actresses, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, and Neha Dhupia. In addition, certain transactions were traced to Balaji Entertainment.
So far, the EOW is said to have tracked around ₹25 crore in direct transfers linked to the case. Further analysis of financial records is underway to determine the complete flow of money.
