Mirai box office collection day 5: Karthik Gattamneni’s action-fantasy drama Mirai has maintained its strong run at the ticket counters since releasing on September 12. Featuring Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran in key roles, the film has continued to draw audiences even on weekdays.
As per trade portal Sacnilk, Mirai earned an estimated ₹4.82 crore net across India on Tuesday, taking its five-day domestic total to ₹55.82 crore net. The film opened to a solid ₹13 crore on its first day and saw steady growth over the weekend, collecting ₹15 crore on Saturday and ₹16.6 crore on Sunday.
Though collections dipped by about 61 percent on Monday, which was expected for a weekday, the film still managed ₹6.4 crore, showing resilience at the box office. Performance has been strongest in Telugu markets, followed by Hindi, with other South Indian languages contributing comparatively less.
Film background
Mirai is directed by Karthik Gattamneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Expectations were high before release, particularly because it marks Teja Sajja’s first outing after the massive success of HanuMan (2024), which grossed over ₹295 crore worldwide.
The fantasy-action tale revolves around Vedha (played by Teja Sajja), a young man destined to stop Mahabir Lama, also known as Black Sword (Manchu Manoj). Mahabir seeks ultimate power through the nine grandhas left behind by Emperor Ashoka, while Vedha sets out in search of the legendary weapon Mirai, once wielded by Lord Rama, to prevent catastrophe.
With positive audience response and strong hold in its primary markets, all eyes are now on Mirai’s first-week total and whether it can replicate the blockbuster run of HanuMan.
