The towering skyscraper glowed with multiple images of the Indian leader, drawing admiration from both residents and tourists. Many onlookers recorded the vibrant show, which symbolized the growing warmth in relations between India and the United Arab Emirates.
Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi has often received global recognition on his birthday, and the Burj Khalifa tribute adds to a long list of notable celebrations and gestures from world leaders.
The UAE’s President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended personal greetings through a trilingual post in Hindi, Arabic, and English. He wrote: “Sincere congratulations to @NarendraModi on your birthday. I wish you continued good health and happiness, and ongoing success in advancing India’s progress and the prosperity of its people.”
Other international leaders also marked the occasion. US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Modi to wish him well and expressed appreciation for India’s role in backing efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally reached out, describing PM Modi as a friend and praising India’s achievements under his leadership.
In a video meeting with his cabinet, President Putin shared that he had spoken with PM Modi and conveyed birthday wishes on behalf of the Russian people. He highlighted India’s pursuit of an independent and sovereign course in international affairs and praised the progress the country has made in the economic sector. The Kremlin further acknowledged Modi’s “significant personal contribution” in strengthening the special privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia.
