Aryan Khan’s Directorial Debut ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ Premieres on Netflix*
Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan has made his much-anticipated directorial debut with The Ba*ds of Bollywood, which premiered on Netflix on September 18. A special screening of the series was held in Mumbai, drawing several well-known faces from the film industry. Among those present were actor Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Dr Shriram Nene.
Dr Nene later shared his reaction on social media, praising Aryan’s first project. He wrote that Aryan is “doing admirably with this debut,” while also acknowledging the ongoing discussion around nepotism. “Some will say that the nepotism equation comes full circle. But Aryan actually learned the hard way, studying his craft at USC in one of the world’s finest film schools. The feat is coming out of the shadows of his father, Shah Rukh Khan, which I think Aryan is doing admirably with this debut. Can’t wait to see the rest of the series. Let me know what you think,” his post read.
The series features Lakshya and Sahher Bambba in lead roles, alongside Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and Manish Chaudhari in key performances. The show also includes cameo appearances by Bollywood icons such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, and Kareena Kapoor.
