During his recent performance in Malaysia, actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh addressed the controversy surrounding his film Sardaarji 3, in which he collaborated with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Diljit revealed that he was labeled anti-national for working on the project. He clarified that the film was completed before the tragic Pahalgam attacks in April, yet cricket matches between India and Pakistan are still taking place after those events.
Speaking to the audience, Diljit reflected on how the film released internationally but faced restrictions in India. He expressed surprise at the ongoing India-Pakistan cricket matches following the violent incident. During the concert, Diljit respectfully saluted the Indian flag and told the crowd, “Woh mere desh da jhanda hai. Always respect. I want to share something with you all. Sardaarji 3 was filmed in February when matches were being played.”
