Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is set to reveal a comprehensive roadmap to boost Telangana’s tourism sector at the inauguration of the ‘Telangana Tourism Conclave’ at Shilparamam on Saturday.

 

The state government is marking World Tourism Day with the launch of the ‘Telangana Tourism Conclave-2025,’ aimed at showcasing and expanding tourism across the region. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, and other officials will also be in attendance.

 

Officials have highlighted that, in addition to popular attractions such as wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls, and heritage sites, the government plans to introduce a range of new experiences for domestic and international tourists. These initiatives include overnight forest stays, wildlife safaris, double-decker boat rides, helicopter tours, opportunities to savor traditional cuisine, and access to advanced medical services.

 

The government has set an ambitious target of attracting investments worth Rs 15,000 crore in the tourism sector, alongside creating significant employment opportunities for youth. To achieve this, both public-private partnerships and full private investments are being encouraged. Several investors, impressed with the new tourism policy, are preparing to establish international-standard hotels, wellness centers, and other hospitality projects in the state. Many agreements are expected to be signed in the presence of the Chief Minister.

 

Helicopter tourism, a first for the state, will initially operate on the Hyderabad–Somasila–Srisailam route, with plans to expand based on demand.
