Skoda Kylaq Hits 30,000 Sales, Becomes Key Growth Driver in India
Skoda India’s compact SUV, the Kylaq, has crossed a major milestone, selling over 30,000 units since its launch in late 2024. From January to August 2025, the Kylaq contributed 65% of Skoda’s total sales in India, solidifying its role as the company’s primary growth engine in the country.
Strong Customer Response
Since February 2025, the Kylaq has emerged as Skoda India’s best-selling locally produced vehicle, outperforming even the Slavia and Kushaq. Its peak month was March 2025, with 5,364 units sold. Sales have shown consistent growth, rising 32% quarterly from 10,205 units in Q1 to 13,509 units in Q2.
Features and Safety
Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform shared with the Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Virtus, the Kylaq offers spacious interiors for four passengers along with premium features such as a 10-inch infotainment system, sunroof, and electrically adjustable front seats. Safety remains a priority, with six airbags included across all variants. The SUV has also been recognized as the top-performing compact SUV in Bharat NCAP, scoring 30.88/32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 45/49 in Child Occupant Protection.
