Rain Disrupts Second T20I, NZ and Australia Eye Full Final Clash
After only two overs and one ball could be bowled, New Zealand and Australia are hoping for uninterrupted action in the third and final T20I scheduled for Saturday at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. New Zealand, who lost the opening match by six wickets, aimed to bounce back in the second game on Friday, but continuous rain interrupted their plans.
The second encounter was initially shortened to 18 overs per side with New Zealand choosing to bowl first. However, heavy rainfall caused a delay in the start, and the match was further reduced to nine overs per side. Unfortunately, only 2.1 overs could be completed before rain forced the umpires to abandon the match entirely.
