The 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards were held in Mumbai on September 9, celebrating major achievements in Marathi cinema from 2024.
Rani Mukerji was presented with the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award for her contribution to Indian cinema. Veteran actor Helen accepted the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of her husband, filmmaker and writer Salim Khan.
Music composer Hridaynath Mangeshkar also received the V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award, while actor and director Prasad Oak was recognised with the V. Shantaram Special Contribution Award.
Chabila won the Best Feature Film award, while Sthal emerged as the ceremony's biggest winner with six honours across different categories. The awards recognised artists working in acting, direction, writing, music and technical fields.
