India has sent another 11 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Nepal as part of its ongoing efforts to support communities affected by the devastating floods. The latest consignment includes essential medicines, forensic equipment, tents, hygiene kits, sleeping bags and other supplies needed for relief and recovery operations.

The assistance was transported to Nepal by an Indian Air Force aircraft carrying both relief material and specialised support. Forensic experts and equipment for DNA analysis were also sent to assist authorities with identification and other emergency operations. The latest shipment is part of India’s continued support for Nepal as rescue and relief activities continue in areas affected by the floods.

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar said India remains committed to supporting Nepal during the crisis. India has also been providing technical assistance and equipment to help strengthen rescue operations and restore essential infrastructure damaged by the disaster
