India has secured the top position in the latest Business Climate Survey 2026, ranking first among 41 global markets assessed in the report. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal shared the development through a social media post, saying that India’s business environment is demonstrating stability, growth and improved ease of doing business despite uncertainty in the global economy.

The 2026 edition of the Global Business Climate Survey covers 41 markets and provides an overview of how Swedish companies view business conditions in different countries. The survey is designed to assess and compare economic performance, future outlook and operating conditions across important markets for Swedish businesses.

The report also examines the difficulties faced by companies while operating in international markets and points to potential opportunities. Its findings are intended to support Swedish businesses evaluating new markets or considering further expansion in countries where they already operate.
