Japan is facing severe weather conditions after Typhoon Dujuan brought intense rainfall to the country’s Pacific coast, triggering landslides and flooding across parts of the Kanto region. At least four people have died and six others remain missing following the storm.
Several areas around Kanagawa and Chiba have been affected by landslides, with rescue teams continuing search operations in locations where homes and other areas were hit by mud and debris. Authorities have been working to clear affected roads and reach people who may still be trapped or missing.
The storm has also caused widespread disruption to electricity supplies. Nearly 50,000 households in the affected region were without power as authorities worked to restore services.
Typhoon Dujuan is the latest in a series of major weather events to affect different parts of the world this year. Japan has experienced intense rainfall and flooding in recent weeks, adding to concerns about the impact of extreme weather conditions.
As the typhoon moved northeast away from Japan, residents in affected areas continued dealing with flooding, damaged infrastructure and the aftermath of landslides. Emergency teams remained active as authorities assessed the extent of the damage and continued searching for missing people.
