South African batter David Miller says he remains committed to representing his country despite losing his national contract ahead of the upcoming ODI series against Australia.
Miller is set to reunite with Australia when the three match series begins in Durban on Thursday. The left handed middle order batter has maintained his availability for selection and said he remains focused on contributing to South Africa.
The 37 year old has an impressive record against Australia in one day internationals. He has scored three centuries in 28 matches against them and averages 57.38.
Miller’s highest ODI score of 139 also came against Australia, when he reached the mark during a match in Hobart in 2018.
While disappointed by the loss of his national contract, Miller said his commitment to playing for South Africa remains unchanged.
