Indian space startup TakeMe2Space plans to launch what it describes as India's first orbital computing satellite aboard a SpaceX rocket on October 1.
The satellite will carry Nvidia Orin NX processors and is designed to process data in orbit instead of sending raw information back to Earth. The company said it has already signed 23 customers for the mission.
TakeMe2Space plans to expand its orbital computing capabilities with larger satellites from 2027. The project reflects growing interest in processing data directly in space, particularly for applications that require faster handling of information.
