China is preparing to reduce tariffs on a wide range of agricultural products from the United States, including corn, wheat, meat and dairy goods.

The proposed changes also cover sorghum, vegetable oils and meals. However, US soybeans have been left out of the tariff reduction list and will continue to face an additional 10 percent tariff.

The tariff changes form part of a wider package agreed between the two countries following recent talks. The exact date for the reductions to take effect has not yet been announced.
