Indian tennis players Sumit Nagal and Dhakshineswar Suresh advanced to the men’s singles pre quarterfinals at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi Nagoya.

Nagal defeated South Korea’s Seongchan Hong 6 to 4, 6 to 0 in the second round. Dhakshineswar Suresh also secured his place in the next round by overcoming Indonesia’s Gunawan Trismuwantara 7 to 5, 7 to 6, with the second set decided by a tiebreak.

Both Indian players will now continue their campaigns in the knockout stage of the competition.
