DeepSeek and Huawei have joined hands to develop software tools for Huawei’s Ascend artificial intelligence chips. The work includes open source computing and communication software intended to make it easier for developers to build and run AI applications on the chip platform.
The companies have also developed a supernode system that connects 128 Ascend 950 chips. The system is designed to improve computing capabilities and communication between the chips.
The collaboration also involves TileLang, an open source programming language aimed at making AI chip programming simpler and more efficient.
The partnership reflects efforts by Chinese technology companies to strengthen their domestic AI hardware and software ecosystem and reduce reliance on foreign chip technologies.
