Five Indian nationals were rescued after a Kuwait flagged tanker was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Indian Embassy in Oman said in a post on X that it coordinated the rescue of the five Indians who were aboard the MT Kazimah III. All five were safely brought ashore.
The mission expressed gratitude to the Omani authorities for their continued assistance and support during the rescue operation.
The incident comes amid rising tensions in West Asia, with several commercial vessels carrying Indian seafarers reportedly facing attacks. The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow maritime passage linking the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
