Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said Chartered Accountants can play an important role in strengthening the India US economic partnership by supporting businesses with cross border taxation, regulatory compliance and financial governance. He also highlighted their role in helping Indian companies become prepared to attract global investment.
Goyal made the remarks during an interaction with members and leadership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from its Chicago, Michigan and Ohio Chapters.
He said the meeting included discussions on expanding opportunities within the India US economic partnership. Goyal also highlighted India’s economic growth, strong GDP performance and record foreign direct investment inflows.
According to Goyal, these developments reflect the vision of building a confident, self reliant and globally competitive India.
