India’s foreign exchange reserves fell by 18.3 billion US dollars to 747.5 billion US dollars during the week ended September 25.
Foreign currency assets, which form the largest part of the country’s reserves, declined by 15.5 billion US dollars to 615.4 billion US dollars during the week.
Gold reserves also decreased by 2.5 billion US dollars to 108.7 billion US dollars. Special Drawing Rights fell by 97 million US dollars to 18.64 billion US dollars.
The country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund also declined by 86 million US dollars to 4.8 billion US dollars.
