The BJP has announced eight candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. The party has nominated Dharampal Singh, Radhakant Ojha, Prakash Pal, Vidyasagar Sonkar, Gopi Krishna Pandey, Priyanka Singh Rawat, Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan and Shruti Gangwar.
The candidates were approved by the BJP Central Election Committee. Today is the final day for submitting nominations for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections.
Polling for Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal will take place on the 16th of this month. The elections will cover 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh and one seat in Uttarakhand, along with a bypoll for one seat in West Bengal.
