Indian companies are expected to report a strong performance for the September quarter, with overall profits projected to rise despite inflation and continued pressure from higher costs.
Nifty 50 companies are expected to record around 21 percent growth in adjusted profits compared with the same period last year. The expected improvement is linked to higher revenue, stronger consumption and continued credit growth.
The automobile sector is projected to remain among the stronger performing industries during the quarter. At the same time, the information technology sector may see slower growth as spending on discretionary services remains subdued.
The quarterly results will provide a fresh picture of how companies are performing amid changing demand conditions and cost pressures across different parts of the Indian economy.
